Particles and Waves ("we", "us") respects the privacy of users of 推し部屋 / Oshi Room ("the App") and is committed to protecting personal information.
The App stores the following information locally on your device:
Private notes, photo albums, and schedules stay on your device by default and are not sent to our servers. Only if you enable automatic iCloud backup in Settings does the App save a complete backup to your own private iCloud Drive area; we do not receive or have access to its contents. Only when you voluntarily post to a community feature such as Hitokoto do we send the post text, fave name, optional nickname, a device-generated identifier, and an image selected as a public avatar to Supabase, a service provider we use. Public avatar images are resized before upload and used for automated safety screening.
The front-facing AR photo feature uses Apple's ARKit face tracking. On supported devices, live camera frames and face-position information are processed temporarily on your device to place a virtual acrylic stand at a suitable distance from the camera. Device motion and person occlusion may also be used for AR rendering on supported devices. The app does not read facial geometry or expression coefficients for facial analysis, and does not use this information for identification, authentication, emotion assessment, advertising, profiling, or machine-learning model training.
AR face-tracking data, such as face position, is used only in the device's memory during the AR session. The app does not persist this data in files, databases, or backups. When you close the capture screen, the app pauses the AR session and does not reuse the tracking data later. This tracking data is not transmitted or shared with our servers, analytics services, advertising services, or other third parties.
A captured photo is an ordinary 2D image combining the camera view and virtual stand, and may show your face. Facial meshes, expression coefficients, and raw depth maps are not attached to the image. Unless you choose to save or share it, the app does not persist or automatically upload the captured image. Saving stores it in the iOS Photos library, where you can delete it using Photos. Uninstalling this app does not delete photos saved in that library. If you enable iCloud Photos or similar Apple features, synchronization, retention, and deletion follow your Apple settings and Apple's practices. Sharing passes the ordinary image to the app or recipient you select in the system share sheet, subject to that recipient's practices.
This AR capture feature does not automatically upload captured photos to us or to analytics or advertising services. If you later import a photo into another feature, back it up, or explicitly select it as a public community icon, the corresponding sections of this policy apply. AR face-tracking data is not included. Anonymous action analytics do not contain face coordinates, facial geometry, expression coefficients, or captured images.
The App uses the following external APIs to display content:
Requests to content APIs do not contain personal information; only search keywords such as artist names are transmitted. iCloud backups are stored in a private area managed by your own Apple Account.
The App uses Firebase Analytics for service improvement and debugging, collecting screen views, button interactions, device and OS information, anonymous identifiers, performance data, and approximate location inferred from an IP address. This is not GPS location data. We record that an Apple Watch report was received, but do not send health or exercise data such as heart rate, calories, or in-app scores to analytics services. We do not directly collect names, email addresses, or Apple IDs through analytics, and do not use this data for cross-app advertising tracking.
Some links in the App participate in affiliate programs. If you purchase a product through one of these links, we may receive a referral fee. This does not result in any additional cost to you.
Participating services: Rakuten Ichiba, Yahoo! Shopping, A8.net, and others.
The App offers monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions through the App Store. Apple manages credit-card and other payment details, which we do not receive. We may analyze purchase, renewal, and cancellation state together with an anonymous identifier to improve the purchase flow and features, but not to directly identify you or for advertising tracking.
Core private data such as registered faves, notes, schedules, and photo albums stays on your device and can be deleted in the App or by deleting the App. Automatic iCloud backup is off by default and can be stopped in Settings. Backups stored in iCloud can be managed or deleted from Data Protection in the App or your Apple Account’s iCloud storage settings. Turning automatic backup off by itself does not automatically delete existing backups, to avoid accidental data loss. A public Hitokoto post can be deleted from its long-press menu. A public avatar remains on the server only as needed to display the post. Send deletion or privacy requests through Settings > Feedback in the App. Anonymous Firebase Analytics data may be retained according to the service provider’s retention period.
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
This Privacy Policy may be updated as needed. We will announce significant changes within the App.
