PAW × STUDENT TESTING TEAM

Fresh eyes find what
builders can no longer see.

Student testers use your iOS app and show where first-time users hesitate, misunderstand, or lose confidence—delivered as screen recordings and a timestamped report.

THE BLIND SPOT

Once you build it, you can no longer experience it for the first time.

A flow that feels obvious to its maker can be confusing to a new user. We surface that friction through real behavior and candid language before it becomes abandonment or a poor store review.

01

Understanding

Can users tell what the app does in the first 30 seconds?

02

Navigation

Do they know what to do next without an explanation?

03

Trust

Do payment, permissions, and privacy moments feel safe?

HOW IT WORKS

From brief to delivery

  1. 01

    Define the test

Share the target user, key screens, test environment, and the questions you need answered.

  2. 02

    Test on device

Testers install the TestFlight or public build and complete assigned tasks plus free exploration.

  3. 03

    Observe and record

We capture the screen and note hesitation, misunderstanding, expectation gaps, and positive moments.

  4. 04

    Deliver the report

You receive recordings, timestamped findings, severity, and practical directions for improvement.

DELIVERABLES

Evidence your team can act on—not just opinions.

Feedback is structured so a product team can turn it into decisions and issues. Scope varies by tester count, device, and test area.

01

Session recordings

Screen recordings showing taps, transitions, and the full task flow.

02

Timestamped notes

Findings such as “1:42—looked for a way back” linked to the recording.

03

Severity

Critical friction is separated from polish and quality suggestions.

04

Improvement direction

Actionable insight grounded in what the user expected to happen.

WHEN TO USE

A useful checkpoint when you need to…

  • Validate onboarding before expanding a TestFlight group
  • Find first-use friction before an App Store release
  • Check whether a new feature works without explanation
  • Share candid user behavior with the team, backed by video

CONFIDENTIALITY

For unreleased apps, handling rules come first.

Before testing, we agree on scope, recording boundaries, account handling, and retention periods. Projects requiring an NDA or involving personal or confidential data are reviewed individually.
